Giovanni has thirty years of experience in business management, strategy and leadership, both as a company leader and as a management consultant. His professional career has been in Italy, Holland, France and England. In the last fifteen years he has acquired specific and deep experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in clinical laboratories. From 2005 to 2010 he was Managing Director of FlemingLab in Brescia, Italy, one of the largest group of laboratories in northern Italy. Giovanni grew FlemingLab successfully to double its size, after which it was acquired by Germany’s Synlab, which is Europe’s largest lab group, generating revenues of €2 billion in 40 countries. Between 2010 and 2013 he was a consultant to LABCO SA in France (now also part of Synlab) and the Secretary General of the French group of laboratories JSBIO. In 2014 Giovanni co-founded Novolabs, the first laboratory in Italy with a state-recognised social mission. Giovanni led Novolabs to deliver the highest quality of laboratory testing at the most affordable pricing in northern Italy, particularly in the region of Lombardy.

Giovani graduated with a B.Sc, in Engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy and a MBA from INSEAD in France.
